We have been doing low carb cycling at least 3-4 days a week with good results considering our minimal time spent at the gym. But you can only eat so much meat and veggies before getting bored. We ordered 10 boxes of Dreamfields low carb pasta from Amazon at a reasonable price after reading good reviews online. If you’re only looking to buy a couple boxes, Amazon will be too expensive and you should see if any local stores have it in stock.
They market it as having 5 grams of digestible carbs and their manufacturing process “creates a matrix within the pasta, protecting 31 grams of carbohydrates from being digested”. Reviews from diabetics who tested their blood sugar levels after consumption seemed to support the claim. So I made a batch of my usual meat sauce and crossed my fingers that it wouldn’t taste like cardboard. (I’ve had other high fiber pastas in the past that tasted just wrong.)
We loved it!! Cooked it exactly 9 minutes per the directions and it tastes exactly like al dente regular pasta. Ok if I really paid closer attention then maybe it was 95% as good as regular pasta which is awesome considering normal pasta has 43 grams of carbs. Going to order the lasagna sheets next!
